Supplies:
1. 30 small styrophone coffee cups -cut the cup down to one inch deep
2. 50 styrophone plates
2. one box of long plain tooth picks
3. one package of plastic or glass beads
4. five packages of soft, white puff play-do
5. Acrylic paint- lite blue, dark blue, brick red, turquoise, yellow, gold
6. paint brushes for 25 children
7. glue
8. scissors
9. white foam board- poster size
Instructions:
1. Divide the children into four groups.
2. Assign each group one of the following items to create: flowers, suns, roses, and pie patties.
The flowers will look like these below.
To make the flower:
1. Give each child a styrophone cup and have them cut tiny strips to create the petals
2. Have them paint them using the colors provided
The Suns will look like this:
To make the sun:
Do the same as the flower, only instruct the children to cut a triangular shape to form the rays.
The roses will look like this:

To make the rose:
1. Using the playdo, form a rose.
2. get a tooth pick and glue beads to it
3. Paint the rose
4. place the rose on the end of the toothpick
The Pie Pattie will look like this:
To make the Pie Pattie:
1. Using the playdo, make a ball and squish it flat.
2. Get toothpicks and stick them through the pattie.
3. Paint the Pattie.
Once the students have created their item,
place the items on the foam board and arrange them according to the photo above.
Glue the items to the foam board.
Take the collage to a frame shop where it will be framed as a shadow box.
Remember to have it wired for hanging purposes.
